The Tristrapaedia

My dad’s big in Information Science—libraries and software and all sorts of things. He’d been building up this on-line encyclopaedia for me for years—called it The Tristrapaedia. He called it a collaborative, non-authoritarian, non-academic source of information. It’s wisdom, he said, not knowledge. He wants to store all the world’s wisdom going back thousands of years from all cultures—all kinds of wisdom given equal space, nobody better than anyone else. It’s like what Ms Hart’s been saying about the blog—how everybody gets a say so it’s free and democratic.

Your present

I’m sorry that you’re missing people Tristram—me too. But that reminds me. What was your dad’s Christmas present Tristram? The one you said he’d been doing when he disappeared.

Mum died

She died when I was very little. I don’t remember her to miss her but I miss my dad. And my cat. I miss my room with my books and music and pictures on the wall. My piano lessons.

Happy Mother’s Day!

I’ve been allowed to have my daughter for the day! I can’t talk about it, I’m too choked. Tell you all later maybe.
Tristram, all you alright? Are you still thinking about your dad? He’ll be alright you know. What about your mum?
